What's the Difference between Laser Projector and Ordinary Projector?
At present, there are a lot of home theater products on the market. Businessmen, in the name of home theater, confuse the concepts of ordinary projector and laser projector. Consumers are foolish and unclear about the difference between them. They are easy to fall into the guidance of businessmen and buy inappropriate products. So what's the difference between a laser projector and an ordinary projector?
1. First of all, the biggest difference between them is that solid-state laser is used as light source for laser projection, while the traditional projector and most of them use ultra-high pressure mercury lamp. The lifetime of the laser source is also different. The lifetime of the laser source can reach more than 20,000 hours, which can be used for 8.5 years, calculating with 8 hours a day. General projectors usually have a life span of 5000 hours, usually about 2 years. This also leads to the high cost of the laser source itself, and the one-time input cost of the laser projector
is high, but the subsequent replacement cost is small, while the bulb is just the opposite；
2. The principle of LCD projection is used in ordinary projection, and the image is still displayed on the panel, only projecting the picture onto the curtain through stronger light source and lens; while the principle of DLP projection is to use many small mirrors, and each small mirror controls the angle of light to achieve different intensity control and emission. Light strikes the curtain through the lens to form an image；
3. Projection distance. The principle of limited guidance for the general projector space requirements are relatively high, which needs a larger indoor environment and projection distance; and the laser, on the contrary, uses reflective short-focus projection, so that it can project more than 100 inches of large picture at a distance of half a meter;
4. Traditional projectors have long projection distances and need a good curtain. Most of them use the principle of diffuse reflection to avoid direct reflection of strong projection light, so their performance in light resistance is weak. The laser projection based on the principle of reflective cross-section projection can shorten the projection distance, and has higher brightness and stronger anti-light performance.
